Description:

Your team of prisoners falls into the Rundown when Warden, the mysterious entity holding you captive, issues a new work order. The Rundown is a series of expeditions, each taking you deep into a rundown research facility called the Complex. You descend level by level, searching for tools and resources to help you survive in a dangerous network of tunnels where hideous creatures lurk in every shadow. Complete all expeditions to fulfill the work order and clear the summary.

Be careful, GTFO is not your typical run and gun shooter. It's for players who value a serious challenge.
A 4-player cooperative experience
GTFO is designed for prisoner teams of four, putting cooperation at the core of the experience. Bots can fill your lineup if you're missing a player or two. They will follow you through expeditions, sneak up on you when you sneak, collect resources, and fight by your side. They are a good alternative, but the level of communication and tactical combat in GTFO means that it is better to play with people.

Prepare, Explore, Survive
A strategy is necessary to clear the Rundown. Before entering the Complex, your team must decide what equipment, reinforcements, and weapons to bring. You also need to balance the team, identifying each prisoner's role so you know what to do when things go wrong. And they will. They always do it.

Stealth and coordination are required to survive while maneuvering through the Complex. Many of GTFO's creatures are suspended in a state of hibernation, so light, noise, and vibrations can easily wake these Sleepers. And if one of them knows you're there, they all know. That's when things get complicated.
